Our Veterinarian

Dr. Darlene Berkovitz graduated from the University of Illinois. After completing a small animal internship, she moved to the mountains of Aspen, CO. Dr. Berkovitz moved to the Madison-area to be closer to family and purchased Citywide Pet Clinic in August 2019. She has a lot of special interests including internal medicine, dentistry, behavior, geriatric/hospice care and all things cat. She is certified in veterinary acupuncture through the Chi Institute. When not working, Dr. Berkovitz spends her time chasing around her two young children with the help of a cattledog and tiny terrier-mix. Because life wasn't hectic enough, she also recently adopted two kittens from Angel's Wish. Dr. Berkovitz also loves to ski, exercise, read                                                     and eat chocolate chip cookies.

Our Technicians

Allie graduated from Winona State University in May 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Coaching. After working in the field she chose to go back to school for her passion, caring for animals. She graduated from MATC with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology and passed the state and national boards to become a Certified Veterinary Technician in June of 2017. In her free time she loves to travel and has been to 39 of the 50 states. She also enjoys biking the trails throughout Madison, perusing local farmers markets, attending Badger football games, and cheering on the Packers. Allie has a few pets at home: a bullmastiff named Butters and three cats named Manhattan, Trzy, and Louie.

Olivia graduated from Mount Mary University in May 2019 with a Master of Science in Art Therapy degree. During her research in the art therapy program, she discovered significant findings in regard to the human-animal bond and the positive effects animals have in the therapeutic healing process. Olivia has found her path to veterinary medicine in hopes of someday opening a practice that provides veterinary care and animal assisted art therapy services. She hopes to give back to the many animals that have helped their owners emotionally and unconditionally. In her free time, Olivia enjoys going for walks with her pomskies, Elvis and Willow, snuggling with her emotional support cat, Seamus, reading, drawing, and eating sushi!
Our Receptionist
Arielle went to school for art at Madison College and  has been in the Madison area for about 9 years and recently joined our staff here at Citywide. She has always been passionate about animals and has an assortment of pets at home: a cat named Grog, two white's tree frogs named Thing 1 and Thing 2, an African bullfrog named Prince, and a "foster" Cuban tree frog named Kirby. In her free time she is a ceramic artist making cute animal planters and decorative fungi. For fun she likes to play board games, read, make art, and sing karaoke.
